The GDP gives the sum total of consumer spending, industry investment, exports compared to imports and our government spending. The GDP increase does not reflect the correct growth of the economy and inflation must be subtracted to reflect the true percentage, this is called the real GDP and tells us if the economy is expanding or contracting. If the economy falls we start a recession. The point when expansion becomes a recession becomes the peak of business cycle and the point when recession becomes expansion is the trough. Inflation describes the increases in the average price and deflation is the decrease of the average price. Both inflation and deflation are the percentage rate that changes the price index and hurts the value of real money. Inflation is an increase in the general price of goods and services over a period of time. Unexpected inflation benefits the borrowers and hurts the lenders. Inflation is the reduction in purchase power. Inflation affects the value of money. Inflation or deflation is the percentage change of price index, once these calculations take eff ect we can use the (CPI) consumer price index and is widely used in the United States to level out price changes. Normal values are converted to real values by dividing the price index.

Pride in A Good Man is Hard to Find, Good Country People and Revelation Pride is a very relevant issue in almost everyones lives. Only when a person is forced to face his pride can he begin to overcome it. Through the similar themes of her short stories, Flannery OConnor attempts to make her characters realize their pride and overcome it. In A Good Man is Hard to Find, the grandmother is a typical Southern lady. This constant effort to present herself a Southern lady is where her pride is grounded. Edwards, Jr., notes that Hulga sees herself as liberating people from their illusions, believing she has none of her own (901). Joy/Hulgas perspective on life is bleak and realistic. She achieves a Ph.D. in philosophy and believes in the simplicity of believing in nothing. Her mother holds to simple Southern beliefs that manners and tact determine a persons goodness. It is for this reason that she views the Bible salesman as a good person. Joy/Hulga sees through her mothers shallow country ways and despises her for it. Besides her beliefs, her wooden leg is also the center for her pride. She is as sensitive about the artificial leg as a peacock about his tail (OConnor, Good Country People 404). She uses it for attention when stomping around the house and for security when refusing to reveal its secrets to Manly Pointer, the Bible salesman. However, Manley is not as shallow as he seems but turns out to bring Joy/Hulga to her point of grace. Most often than not, the significant characteristics were based on reviews published for these restaurants or probably based on the personal experience gained on their last visit or shared through word of mouth have already been evaluated in the mind of the customers leading to a decision of dining. In the year 2013, restaurant industry has undoubtedly not been free from either very stiff competition or from increasing and very highly demanding customers’ expectations on food quality and customers service. Thus, in this greatly competitive food industry, those businessmen who are capable of capitalizing on cost of leadership, marketing strategy and image upgrade benefits through differentiation over smaller independent restaurants. In addition, while such restaurants appeal to many people, they usually have lower satisfaction rates than full-service restaurants because of factors other than convenience. The research design utilized the survey research method by having the observations in other restaurant on how they treat their customer with a hospitable manner and food quality in achieving the goal for customer satisfaction. The descriptive survey method aided the researcher in extracting the factors food quality and customer service to customer satisfaction from the respondents in this study. That this research surveys can served as one of the most fitting methodologies for collecting data. Furthermore, that the articles from the food quality and customer service in customer satisfaction was the main reference for analysis of the study, the researcher to utilized articles as the most suitable research methodology that was expected to gather the desired data of the study. In order for the researcher to determine the customers satisfaction of the respondents in different type restaurant. The researcher aimed to generate an effective food quality in customer service in customer satisfaction by the data gathered by the research method. Therefore, the methods that were employed in this study resulted to more credible research findings. On the one hand, the textual analysis method permitted the researcher to draw together the data. III. 2 Research Locale The researcher also decided to conduct a group of students’ survey research sessions during the data gathering period in La Consolacion College- Pasig City, (LCC-P) depending on their allotted time. The selection of LCC-P as the research locale of the study stemmed from the idea that the researcher wants to know about their satisfaction on the certain restaurant (food quality, ambiance and customer service). In this manner, the researcher became more aware of the proper approach in gathering the data from the students. III. 3 Instrumentation This study utilized the researchers made questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument. The questionnaire is divided into two parts. Part 1 The respondent’s profile which includes personal characteristic such as name, age and gender. Part 2 The name of the restaurant and the answers of the respondents about their opinion on food and service quality. III. 4 Data Collection Procedures Before the actual administration of the questionnaire, pre-trail stage was undertaken to ensure the validity and reliability of the instrument. A group of 50 respondents were randomly selected to answer the questionnaires. In order to ascertain utmost result of the study, the researcher personally administrated and collected the questionnaire. During the data gathering period the respondents were given enough time to answer the instrument. After which the data represented, analyzed and interpreted. III. 5 Data Analysis The data gathered from the subjects’ response were them tallied, analyzed and interpreted. To Summarize the Financial Transactions A business performs several numbers of financial transactions during a certain period of time. The transactions themselves cannot portray any picture of the financial affairs of the business. For that purpose, a summary of the transactions has to be drawn. The trial balance is prepared with a view to summarize all the financial transactions of the business. 4. To Provide the Basis for Preparing Final Accounts Final accounts are prepared to show profit and loss and the financial position of the business at the end of an accounting period. These accounts are prepared by using the debit and credit of all ledger accounts. Therefore, since the trial balance is a statement of the debit and credit balances of the ledger accounts, it provides the basis for the preparation of the final accounts. Characteristics of Trial Balance. It is a list of balances of all Ledger accounts and Cash Book It is not a part of the double entry system of book-keeping. It is only a working paper. It can be prepared on any date. It verifies the arithmetical accuracy of posting of entries from the Journal to the Ledger. It is not a conclusive proof of the accuracy of the books of account since some errors are not disclosed by Trial Balance. Disagreements of Trial Balance: The debit total of trial balance should be equal to credit total. Sometimes, they are not equal and it is assumed that there are some errors in books of account. Some of the reasons of errors may be as follows. Trial balance will disagree if a transaction is posted in one side of an account and omitted to post it in the another side of another account. If wrong amount is posted in ledger accounts, the trial balance will not agree. When an amount is posted wring side say in debit side instead of credit side, the trial balance will not agree. Sometime, a transaction may be posted twice in the ledger accounts. As a result, the total of a trial balance will not be equal. Disagreement of a trial balance may be caused by the wrong totaling or balancing of ledger accounts. While totaling the figure of subsidiary books there may arise some errors that will cause disagreement of trial balance. Â  Omission to post a ledger balance also causes the disagreement of a trial balance. If there is wrong in totaling of trial balance, a trial balance will disagree. Another cause of disagreement of a trial balance may be the error made in carrying forward the total from one page to another. An error of original entry is when both sides of a transaction include the wrong amount. For example, if a purchase invoice for Rs. 21 is entered as Rs. this will result in an incorrect debit entry (to purchases), and an incorrect credit entry (to the relevant creditor account), both for Rs. 9less, so the total of both columns will be Rs. 9 less, and will thus balance. An error of omission is when a transaction is completely omitted from the accounting records. As the debits and credits for the transaction would balance, omitting it would still leave the totals balanced. A variation of this error is omitting one of the ledger account totals from the trial balance. An error of reversal is when entries are made to the correct amount, but with debits instead of credits, and vice versa. For example, if a cash sale for Rs. 100 is debited to the Sales account, and credited to the Cash account. Such an error will not affect the totals. An error of commission is when the entries are made at the correct amount, and the appropriate side (debit or credit), but one or more entries are made to the wrong account of the correct type. For example, if fuel costs are incorrectly debited to the postage account (both expense accounts). This will not affect the totals. An error of principle is when the entries are made to the correct amount, and the appropriate side (debit or credit), as with an error of commission, but the wrong type of account is used. For example, if fuel costs (an expense account), are debited to stock (an asset account). This will not affect the totals. Compensating errors are multiple unrelated errors that would individually lead to an imbalance, but together cancel each other out. A Transposition Error is an error caused by switching the position of two adjacent digits. Since the resulting error is always divisible by 9, accountants use this fact to locate the mis-entered number. For example, a total is off by 72, dividing it by 9 gives 8 which indicates that one of the switched digits is either more, or less, by 8 than the other digit. Hence the error was caused by switching the digits 8 and 0 or 1 and 9. This will also not affect the totals.
